Trash and Recycling Pick Up Delay 12/18/2020 and Snow Removal

Your regularly scheduled refuse and recycling pick up for Friday, December 18, 2020 had been delayed to Saturday, December 19, 2020.

The Borough only received confirmation of this delay this morning (Friday 12/18/2020) at 10:47 am from Waste Management, with no prior phone call or messages to indicate that there would be a delay. The delay is due to the recent weather event in South Western Pennsylvania. 

We do apologize for any inconvienience this may incur upon you. Please leave your trash/recyclables out so they can be picked up tomorrow.

Additionally, a reminder for all property owners to maintain snow removal on their sidewalks outside of their property. A copy of the ordinance is linked here. You have 48 hours from the end of snowfall to remove the snow from your sidewalk. 

"The owner, occupant or tenant of every property fronting upon or alongside of any of the streets in the Borough of Millvale is hereby required to remove or cause to be removed for a width of at least four feet from the inside pavement line from all of the sidewalks in front of or alongside of such property all snow, hail, sleet or ice thereon fallen or formed within 48 hours after the same shall have ceased to fall or to form"
