Meet Alyssa Peters, MSW Millvale Borough Police & Community Social Worker!

From Alyssa:

"I was employed by Millvale Borough in May of 2022. I am a support for the community. My primary role is to assist the Millvale officers on calls and provide resources to individuals and families following a police interaction.

I provide support and resources for domestic violence, trauma, financial struggle, food needs, housing, abuse, homelessness, navigating life, child care, substance abuse and addiction, remediation, suicide and suicidal ideaion, self harm, mental illnesses and disorders, crisis intervention, and more! I connect people to long-term resources based on their situation and needs, and help them access and navigate those resources.

I am also here for the community as a whole. I create and/or participate in events in Millvale that help meet needs within the community. I am always open to suggestions!
