COUNCIL MEETINGS
Borough Council meetings are all public and are all held at 501 Lincoln Avenue, the Borough Building. We often hold public hearings there, which along with special meetings are always advertised at least 24 hours in advance within the local newspaper.
A few exemptions...
The 1976 Sunshine Act requires that we protect information for 10 specific circumstances including those listed below. We may have closed sessions to address cases related to:
- National defense
- Crime accusations
- Breach of Privacy
- Investigatory records that could harm proceedings
- Internal personnel rules and practices solely
- Anything that could endanger the stability of a financial institution or lead to financial speculation
