SCAM ALERT

The Borough of Millvale Police Department has received calls about a person contacting them and identifying themselves as FBI Agent. The person then advises the individuals that they need to drain their bank accounts and purchase pre-paid cards. The supposed FBI Agent then calls and requests that the victims give them the PIN numbers off the cards. Once that is done the money is gone and most likely will not ever be recovered.

Please understand The FBI will never call you to request that you take money from your bank accounts. The FBI will come to your home in person if they are investigating a case involving you. If you do receive a call, ask the supposed FBI Agent or and other supposed Law Enforcement Official which field office they are assigned to. Hang up and call the official number listed for that agency or that office. Ask to speak to the supposed agent / officer that called you. If in doubt, please call the Millvale Borough Police Department, your local police department or 911 and relay the information given to you by the supposed agent / officer. 

Again, never remove money from your bank accounts or give any of your personal or financial information to anyone over the phone.
