With the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill making its way through Congress, our federal representatives are making once-in-a-generation decisions that will dictate the future of Appalachia. All infrastructure is local, and as we have seen recently, local officials struggle first-hand with the devastating impact of catastrophic weather events, aging infrastructure, failing electric grids, absentee corporations, and declining tax bases. The dignity and safety of the people of Appalachia is at stake. 

That is why over 100 local elected officials have endorsed the Appalachia Climate Infrastructure Plan. When communities suffer, local government bears the brunt. These leaders know that we need to think big and take advantage of this immense opportunity before us.
