Free Tax Preparation

This is a seasonal program that helps low-income households file taxes.

If your family received less than $57,000 in 2020, you may be eligible for our free tax preparation service.

Our Free Tax Prep services will be available between January 20, 2021 and April 14, 2021.

Virtual Option
A full virtual option through an IRS approved website can be easily and securely accessed from a smartphone or computer. This option allows you to complete the entire process from home with no face to face interaction. Please visit www.getyourrefund.org/nhco.

Hybrid - Limited Contact Option
If virtual tax preparation is not for you, come to the tax site for two brief appointments at either our Millvale tax site or North Borough tax site to meet with certified tax volunteers. First appointment is to gather the information needed to complete your tax returns. Then return about a week later to review your completed return. Appointments are required.

Due to the precautions we are taking to keep staff, volunteers and taxpayers safe because of Covid-19, things will look a little different this year. All visitors to a tax site must wear a mask, follow all social distances guidelines, and have their temperature taken upon arrival.
