Millvale VFD win's prestigious Amen Corner Award

The Millvale VFD is a recipent of the prestigious Amen Corner Award for their timely reaction and swift action in preventing a potential disaster on August 8, 2012, when they extinguished an engine fire on a tractor-trailer carrying 9,000 gallons of fuel. 
"Their quick response and quick suppression diverted a catastrophe," said Alvin Henderson, acting chief of Allegheny County emergency services. 

The 3rd Annual Firefighter/EMS Awards Reception was held at Engine House 25 - Clemente Museum on June 6, 2013. Amen Corner and the Pittsburgh Metro Fools team up yearly to honor our EMS and Firefighters who put their lives on the line to save others.
