Millvale Music Festival 2020 Postponed to May 2021

In light of the increasing case numbers and ongoing measures that are required due to COVID-19, our organizing committee and local officials have decided that it is in the best interest of our artists and community to postpone the 2020 Millvale Music Festival completely for the year. Originally scheduled for May 30, then rescheduled for August 8, the Millvale Music Festival will pick up where it left off in 2021. The new dates will be Friday, May 21st and Saturday May 22nd, 2021. Adding Friday evening, along with the ever-growing list of stages, the 2021 Millvale Music Festival will start the 2021 summer off with a well-needed celebration!

This is a disappointing outcome of our efforts, but the safety of our community is our top priority. Per our mission statement, we aim to both support local artists and spotlight the many fun and unique small businesses and venues that Millvale has to offer. Many of our small businesses would not be able to participate this year, and would not truly benefit if they did. Local artists have been hopeful along with us, but also increasingly apprehensive and unsure. We felt it is important to finish announcing every band, visual and performing artist, comedian, and poet that was already selected and optimistically accepted their time to showcase their talents. The complete list can be found here: www.millvalemusic.org/2020-lineup.

Although we will ask everyone to submit for next year, every artist booked for 2020 will have priority booking in 2021. We will announce the opening of submissions in the winter, as usual. We look forward to the safe, small ways that we can enjoy the arts soon. We know many are exploring and testing their methods already and we encourage everyone to enjoy safely. We’ll have the big party next May!
