Millvale Borough Recognized as a 2018 Banner Community!

The Borough of Millvale has been recognized as a 2018 Banner Community by Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald and the Allegheny League of Municipalities (ALOM).

This is the fifth year in a row that Millvale has been recognized as a Banner Community.

The program recognizes municipalities committed to professional development, prudent fiscal management, transparency, accountability and proactive communications to engage community stakeholders. 2018 saw 55 municipalities recognized for their efforts.

“We are delighted to see this tremendous program continue to grow and to recognize so many of our great municipalities this year,” said Fitzgerald. “Local government officials are critical to the success of this region. They are more likely to know what issues matter most to local residents and how resources can be used most effectively in their area.
