COVID-19 UPDATE

COVID-19

Dear Millvale Friends, Families and Business Owners,

The Borough continues to monitor the development of the COVID-19 virus. First and foremost, everyone’s safety is our primary concern.

Currently, the Borough is following procedures set forth by Allegheny County and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Borough is also in contact with Shaler Area School District. As a rule, the Borough form of government places our community under the jurisdiction of the County, State and Federal government regarding health emergencies. As such, please refer to Allegheny County and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the most up to date information available.

Borough staff are exercising all prescribed precautionary measures to ensure the safety of residents, visitors and staff alike. At this time the Borough Office will continue to have regular open office hours, M-F, 8 AM – Noon and 1-4:30 PM. All Public Works, Code Enforcement, Zoning, and Police operations will operate with no change. Utilities and trash services have not changed. The Borough has prepared several scenarios to continue to provide services and keep all informed should isolations or quarantines be enacted by the County, Commonwealth or Federal Government.

Please recognize that the COVID-19 virus has made our normal lives fluid, we should expect continuing changes to our daily routines. Please continuously update yourself through approved social media, tv and radio.

To our wonderful business owners, please monitor County and Commonwealth updates and consider your own wellbeing along with your customers as you make decisions. Don’t hesitate to relay any information regarding closures or hour changes to us and we will pass along to our followers as quickly as possible.

Finally, please respect the safety and wellness of all persons as we work our way through this trying time.

Thank you and stay healthy,

Borough Council and Staff
