Stand accepts

Cash, Checks (w/ id) WIC & Senior FMNP and EBT/Food Stamps

 RULES

No product will be sold, distributed or bagged by customer until 2:30 pm.

 
You are not allowed to touch or set aside produce until 2:30 pm.
 
In case of severe weather (THUNDER-LIGHTNING), the Market will be held indoors at the Millvale Community Center (416 Lincoln Avenue). Sign up for email notification or check www.millvalepa.com for updates.

 MISSION

To promote the sale of Pennsylvania-grown farm products;

 
To improve the variety, freshness, taste and nutritional value of produce available in the Millvale area;
 
To provide an educational forum for consumers to learn the uses and benefits of quality, locally grown or prepared food products;
 
To enhance the quality of life in Millvale by providing a community activity which fosters social gathering and interaction; and
 
To promote sustainability by encouraging Millvale residents to buy local and grow their own.

WHAT WILL I DO?
Sell and bag produce
Display produce
Lift produce boxes (15 Pd) only able-bodied volunteers will be asked to lift boxes.
Customer service

Volunteers will be awarded a credit stipend to purchase produce at the Millvale FarmStand. To be eligible volunteers must work at least 5 hours per month. Volunteer stipends will be given out in August and September.

What do we need?
Friendly hardworking volunteers that is willing to work 2.5-hour shifts.
